"Losing my religion" by R.E.M.

Os traigo el que es para mí el mayor temazo de este grupo estadounidense, promotor del denominado rock alternativo desde 1980: Losing my religion. Es innegable la impecable realización del videoclip, muy particular en todos sus aspectos y que a nadie deja indiferente.

R.E.M. posee además uno de los vocalistas más carismáticos de la historia de la música, Michael Stipe, lider y vocalista de la banda, que ha alcanzado la fama por el surrealismo de sus letras, y por su activismo social, tanto en su música como en su vida privada.

Michael Stipe presume de tener grandes amistades dentro del mundo de la música -Kurt Cobain, fallecido líder de Nirvana y de cuya hija es su padrino, Thom Yorke, vocalista de Radiohead, etc- y el cine, además de fuertes admiradores como el desaparecido River Phoenix, y en 2007 ha participado en Papito, el último disco de Miguel Bosé y uno de los mejores discos del pasado año, con el que hace dúo en Lo que hay es lo que ves.

Recientemente se ha declarado abiertamente homosexual en una entrevista en marzo de 2008.
